Rules and overtime thresholds on this site are compiled directly from state statutes, administrative codes, and official state labor department publications. Because wage regulations and administrative rules evolve, all content is actively being audited and verified state by state. A "Last verified" date appears only on state guides that have completed this audit.

Scope & Limitations

ShiftCalc US models standard non-exempt employment rules. It does not account for industry-specific exemptions, collective bargaining agreements, specialized alternative workweek schedules (such as healthcare 8/80 arrangements), or exempt executive, administrative, or professional classifications unless specifically noted.
